My Approach

I manage The Red Pen's Instagram presence (@trpmumbai & @theredpen.events) with a focus on authentic storytelling over polished perfection. The strategy centers on three core principles:

1. Real Stories Over Generic Advice
Instead of posting generic "admissions tips," we showcase actual student journeys, consultant expertise, and the human side of the admissions process.

2. Strategic Content Pillars: Every piece of content serves a purpose—whether it's demonstrating our results (admits and testimonials), sharing expert insights (consultant knowledge), or building trust (process transparency).

3. Multi-Channel Consistency
From Instagram feed posts to Reels to event coverage, every touchpoint maintains cohesive brand messaging while adapting format to platform best practices.

I edit all video content in VEED, focusing on authentic storytelling rather than overly-produced content. My editing approach emphasizes:

  • Strong hooks in the first 3 seconds (critical for non-follower reach)
  • Clear captions for accessibility and sound-off viewing
  • Authentic consultant voices (not scripted corporate speak)
  • Strategic pacing that holds attention without feeling rushed

Event Marketing

I manage the full marketing lifecycle for The Red Pen's events:

Pre-Event: Promotional content across social channels, partner coordination, countdown posts that build anticipation

Live Coverage: Real-time stories, attendee testimonials, buzz videos that capture the energy and value of in-person events

Post-Event: Wrap-up reels, key takeaways, extended testimonials that extend the event's impact beyond attendees

This integrated approach ensures every event drives both immediate attendance and long-term brand building.

Impact

While follower count is one metric, the real impact shows in:

  • Increased direct message inquiries about our services
  • Higher engagement rates on strategic content (saves and shares over likes)
  • Consistent brand presence during peak admissions season
